One fine day an animal control officer saw a dog with half a nose roaming about on the streets and he immediately rescued him. The dog, called Bjarni, had a family, but when they contacted the family the clearly told the officer that they didn’t want him back, perhaps because of how he looked. This is when the poor dog was brought in the shelter. The shelter then reached Anne Graber, the founder of St. Francis’ Angels, a Texas-based animal rescue group, to see if she could help Bjarni. Anne said that she would do everything possible to make the poor dog feel loved. According to Anne, Bjarni is having difficult time eating and breathing simply because his nose is blanketing the sinus cavities. But apart from that, Bjarni is a normal dog and he absolutely loves being around people. A Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists vet called Jason Balara will be performing a surgery to try and fix Bjarni’s broken nose.
