A North Carolina man made a Facebook page in July about giving away his dog and her puppies. The community worked together to make sure they all found homes. The man’s dog, Nana, is 4 years old. Nana has spent the last three years of her life chained up outside. She has given birth three times. None of the puppies from the first two litters survived. After Nana had given birth to her latest litter of nine puppies, the man decided to give her and her puppies up. Image Credit: Mr. Bones & Co. Horrendous acts of animal cruelty happen every single day. That is a sad fact of life. But sometimes those horrendous stories come out to a happy ending. Robin, a young dog, nearly died. She had her muzzle and legs tied up with rope; she was starving and dehydrated. But heroes at the Baltimore County Animal Control and BARCS found her and rescued her. Her face was swollen tremendously when they found her, so much so that she yelped in pain when she tried to yawn. She was immediately brought into BARCS when she could be cared for by a whole staff of veterinarians. She needs multiple surgeries and many veterinary appointments, but she’s going to get back to a healthy lifestyle, and she’s going to live out the rest of her life happy and loved. The Vet Ranch , we’ve all heard of that name a million times because they do an amazing job of rescuing animals and giving them a second chance to life. The Vet Ranch was founded in 2014 by Dr. Matt Carriker and since then he’s been doing an awesome job, and today is no different. Hank, a little puppy, was found with a bandage on his front leg, and was immediately taken to the Vet Ranch for treatment. As soon as Dr. Matt took a look at this pup, he could tell that this tiny baby was just around eight weeks old. He proceeded to cut off the bandage and was heartbroken to learn that this pup’s leg was dead. He placed the pup under anesthesia and began the surgery. Now I’m not going to tell you anything else, but I will request you to watch this video till the end for a nice surprise! I want to know what the momma puppy in this story has been eating! Aida Vallelado Molina breeds hunting dogs with her father. Together they’ve helped to deliver countless litters of puppies, but just recently something occurred that neither of them were prepared for. Their favorite Golden Retriever gave birth to a litter that contained two puppies that were GREEN. Only two of the puppies in the litter have this strange coloration in their skin, and doctors aren’t sure what’s caused it. Sadly one of the green puppies has passed away, but the other is doing just fine, and no matter how many baths she’s given, she keeps on being green. Take a look at this video The coloration doesn’t appear to have any health effects on the puppy, but more remains to be seen. In the meantime this is a puzzling, and adorable, turn of events. The only thing that’s better than one cute puppy is two cute puppies! That makes this video the cutest thing that I have seen all week, and trust me, that’s saying something! At this point in my life, I’m basically the leading expert on cute videos. I watch them day in and day out, and I’ve watched approximately 4,517 cute videos this week, but this is BY FAR the cutest. These are two Westie puppies. The best part? They’re twins! They are both still extraordinarily tiny, and they’re just beginning to move about and explore their little world. Their momma is trying to teach them how to behave and function in the world, but these little twins aren’t always the best of listeners. That doesn’t stop mom from trying her hardest though. There are times in our lives that we need help to use some of the most innovative technologies, no don’t deny it! You know those rotating doors? The first time I had to use them, I went around and round in circles at least five times before I learned how to get off without falling over. Meet Sky, an adorable Husky puppy who’s having a serious conversation with her daddy about something. Everyone meet this floating with happiness, tiny Boston Terrier puppy who’s going to drop your jaw with his latest stunt! Getting a new puppy can be exciting, as long as you have the patience to are for it properly. Investing the time and money into caring for your new puppy may seem a little annoying at first, but you know that you’re doing the best for them. A fourteen-week old Maltese Shih Tzu mix puppy, Jake, was left outside in his yard one morning, and then went missing. His owner did everything he could, and eventually found poor Jake hours later, covered in mud and debris by the side of the road. Little Jake refused to lift his tail, and showed signs that he was in pain. After taking him to the hospital, the vet theorized that Jake may have been sexually abused. Stray dogs can end up having a lot of puppies, and these dogs then continue to have more litters of their own, because they’re not being spayed and neutered. This can cause havoc to people who aren’t fond of animals and don’t want them around their property. But on Lane No. 3, Krishnanagar in India, the people have always shown a fondness for animals, so much so that a woman even opened a local coffee shop that allows admittance to dogs so that they don’t have to be out in the cold at night. A four-year-old dog named Ammu had just given birth to a litter of puppies in a drain near a woman’s house. The woman, named Ponnamma, was outraged by this for some reason, and threw Ammu’s puppies into the empty lot across from her house. The impact of her actions was so great that some of their intestines were external. This dog was celebrating his birthday and he knew that his person had bought him a gift, but he had no idea what he was going to get for his birthday! It was this dog’s birthday and he had no idea what was in store for him! So he heard his family calling out to him which he quickly responded. Then he saw them place a box in the center of the room. Howling is written into dogs’ DNA from when they were wolves. These wild animals using howling for a variety of reasons for communication, but it seems that their domesticated cousins only howl when others are, or when they hear a sound that’s similar to howling. Not all dogs actually seem interested in howling either. But it’s the learning process that’s the most amusing, as puppies can learn to howl at very young ages. Alright this story is definitely worth a smile! Sometime last week, the Baltimore County Fire Department responded to a fire that broke out in an apartment somewhere in Parkville, Maryland. The firefighters reached immediately and were able to douse out the flames to rescue the family and their puppy. When firefighter Walter Sands picked up the puppy and brought it outside, the puppy just continued to smile while he was being rescued from the burning apartment! The people who witnessed this quickly snapped photos and uploaded them on Facebook! It can be a struggle to get a stray dog to adapt to a new situation. Shelters can be scary and filled with other dogs who don’t want to be there either, and that can make the entire situation stressful. But this pooch had a different kind of life in mind when she was brought in from off the streets. Star was taken in by a shelter and instantly went to work as an adoptive mother when there were nine puppies who had no one to care for them. Her maternal instincts kicked in and provided them with the affection they needed, after watching their own mother die. In Dallas, Texas, rescuers were alerted about two week old puppies who were abandoned in a dumpster. They had no mommy so there’s no way they knew how to clean or feed themselves. As soon as the rescuers found them, they knew that these fur balls desperately needed a bath, after food of course. They helped them get rid of fleas and made them all feel special!
