When I think of Costa Rica, I think of a lush tropical landscape that’s always warm, with some of the best sightseeing on earth. Surrounded by both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, this huge garden is almost like heaven on earth, and I have never assumed it could get any better. Boy, was I wrong! Like most animal lovers, I have a soft spot in my heart for canines, and it turns out I’m not alone. According to many tourists, India is home to many stray dogs and cats, so it’s no surprise that people will come across one in need. This tiny little kitten was found starving on the streets of Goa, India, but most people just ignored her. Not one woman though. A woman called Ayesha Mohan stepped in to give this kitten a meal for the first time in her life! Ayesha continued to feed this kitten for 5 months after which it disappeared, but don’t be heartbroken, it’s actually good news! After 5 months of being together, a nice family came by to adopt this kitten and taken her to her forever loving home! What a happy ending for this kitten, isn’t it? Take a look at this video! This is unbelievable, really. Police took the liberty to deliberately mow down and kill a stray dog running loose on the A55. Very early morning, a foxhound found himself running into busy traffic between the Llanfairfechan roundabout and the Conwy tunnel. Since the officers couldn’t bring the dog under control, they decided to run it over, killing it. Before running it down, one of the officers tried to reach out, but the dog bit the officer and escaped. According to a spokesman, the dog posed a serious threat to motorists and the only way to contain it was to kill it. The officers who killed the dog are both dog lovers, but had to take this bitter decision to avoid accidents. When the media tried to reach the RSPCA, they declined to comment on the situation. A honeymoon should be the best time for a newly married couple. It’s a chance for them to get away from the world and dedicate their attentions to each other. Romantic getaways to tropical islands are always the best choice to ensure that no one is interrupting their time together. But one couple didn’t bargain for this little interruption and it turned out being the best one they could imagine. Nicole Marchment and Darren Budin were taking their honeymoon trip to Thailand, and decided for a change of pace. Even with a family to help foot the bill, medical problems aren’t anything to scoff at, but this poor little girl has one of the biggest bladder stones this vet has ever seen. Dr. Matt saw the dog first as part of Vet Rescue Ranch’s service help homeless animals. This rescue group is funded, at least in part, by donations from YouTube viewers and other kindhearted folks from the internet. After noticing some problems that the pup was having, the vets decided that she needed an x-ray. They could hardly believe what they saw. Stray dogs really have no one to look after them, and this is why most of the time, they get into situations they regret instantly. This stray dog, for example thought that the ice was strong enough to manage his weight and so he took it for granted and started walking on it. Little did he know that the ice was thin and he was about to fall in. In Lake Michigan, this fur ball decided to test his luck by walking on the ice to get across, but unfortunately, he fell right in and the chilly waters quickly began taking a toll on him. Fortunately for him, a passerby noticed the poor pup hanging on to his life and immediately called the police. The officers rushed to the scene and helped the pup back to safety. The life on the streets can be a terrifying prospect especially for kids who have no families to call their own. But they don't call a dog a man's best friend without reason. Dogs are loving and loyal. They bond to their humans and never want to leave them. But not all humans bond with their dogs. Two dogs in Florida were stranded in a parking lot when they’re owner left them to fend for themselves. Witnesses say that the dogs spent most of their time sitting in one spot. There are quite a number of animal rescue organizations in the world, but there are still not enough to rescue all the suffering animals in the streets. Hope For Paws, is one of such organizations who have been trying their hardest to rescue human’s best friends from the streets and even shelter. This video below features one of their dramatic rescues and this will break your heart! Venus, a Coastal German Shepherd was abandoned in the desert and left to die. Poor Venus was overheated, exhausted and starving when Eldad and Hope for Paws team spotted her. She was so very terrified of humans that she didn’t even want to go near humans and the team had hard time rescuing her. For four months some kindhearted strangers had fed Venus but she refused to let anyone get close enough to capture her. So the team had to use a tranquilizer to capture her. Wait till you see what happens next.

It's hard to say how long this sweet stray dog was trapped in a metal gate before rescuers finally came to her aid, but she must have been terrified — stuck, alone and unable to get help for herself. Animal Aid Unlimited , a rescue in Udaipur, India, posted a video of the desperate dog. While the neighbors heard her cries, they were scared of dogs and didn't try to free her. Rescuers from Animal Aid showed up and calmed her down, gaining her trust before they tried to lift her out of her tight situation. Maybe she sensed that they were there to help her, because she let herself be stroked and petted. Then the Animal Aid rescuers gently lifted the struggling dog out of her predicament, all the while whispering to her and caressing her head. Animal Aid took her back to the shelter, where she recovered and was spayed. A "football-sized" tumour has been removed from the abdomen of an abandoned dog. The female Jack Russell, discovered alone in Dagenham on 7 January, is being looked after by the South West Essex RSPCA. Insp Mitchell Smith said the dog was in "a terrible state", but after surgery to remove the 2lb 10oz (1.2kg) mass was feeling "a lot better". The charity is appealing for a foster home for the dog. The 12-year-old, which staff called Beautiful Brilliant Betty, was also covered in fleas, has cataracts, poor hearing and needed dental work. The RSPCA is appealing for information on how the dog came to be abandoned.

Ella is a Rottlweiler who has been wandering in the open roads. Fortunately for this fellow, Kathy Wilkes-Myers rescued her from being a stray. It was later found that Ella was thrown off the car when her family figured in a car accident. The family of Ella thought that she was dead. Fortunately, Kathy didn’t give up and continued to search for Ella’s family. The reunion between this loyal dog and her family will surely leave you to tears!
