There’s no specific answer to explain how or why any dog ends up living on the street. Without the ability to tell us their past—and without knowing what they’ve been through—rescuing them can pose a challenge, to say the least. This is something the team at Hope For Paws know all too well. When the Los Angeles-based rescue group recently received a call about two dogs living under an abandoned house, they knew they would have to handle the situation with caution. Yet, even with all their experience, nothing could prepare them for the startling truth about these dogs… It’s important for animal rescuers to approach each case with its own specific care. A rescue team from Liberia Chimpanzee Rescue and Protection saw the saddest sight in Kakata, Liberia. After receiving an anonymous tip, they went to a supply shop and found a little baby chimpanzee sitting inside a cardboard box, heartbreakingly clinging to an old, tattered piece of clothing. The 1-year-old chimp, named Chance, was being kept as a pet for the past few months. The rescuers didn’t know how the ‘owners’ acquired Chance, but they had an idea. “We know her mother was killed,” Jenny Desmond, founder of LCRP, told The Dodo. “One cannot acquire a baby chimpanzee without first killing his or her mother and other nearby adult family members. The adults are butchered and sold on the black market for bushmeat and the infants are kidnapped and sold into the live pet trade, both locally and internationally.” Since Chance was just a baby when her mother was killed, she had no one to properly take care of him and provide her the nutrition he needed. He suffered from mange bacterial infection, and malnutrition. Nothing was stopping Jordan now! He got better, and healthier and happier, and so are we as we see the little fella finally enjoying his life! Two men threw something dark out of the truck at the front door of an animal shelter. The dark object stood very still, then it moved. Just then a shelter volunteer stepped out and started screaming at the truck to stop. The dark figure they had thrown out was a very sick dog. The men were asked why they would do that and they said the factory was closing, and they couldn’t take care of her anymore, she was the factories guard dog. One look at her and you knew that the dog hadn’t been taken care of at all. The dog, Rosalie, in terrible shape, she had mange and wounds all over her body. Now watch her amazing transformation below. Take a look at this video When she was abandoned, she just curled up in the corner of her cage and didn’t move. Rosalie’s mange was treated, and as time went on, she recovered. Share away, people.

People will drop their dogs off at shelters for a variety of reasons, including moving, allergies, or the pet just wasn’t working out for their living arrangements. But this reason will probably make you both mad and sad at the same time. Nik Nak was abandoned at a shelter, simply because he was “too yucky.” The owners even suggested that the dog should be put down and that the world would be a better place without him. What an awful thing to say! Thankfully, this canine is no longer in their care and can get some real love for a change. They gave Nik Nak his very first bath, and treated his skin so that he’d have less scabs on his face. Take a look at this video! Dogs are loving and loyal. They bond to their humans and never want to leave them. But not all humans bond with their dogs. Two dogs in Florida were stranded in a parking lot when they’re owner left them to fend for themselves. Witnesses say that the dogs spent most of their time sitting in one spot. You can see how close they are snuggling. They are extremely bonded to one another. The pair are currently up for adoption , however, they must be adopted together. They deserve to have a loving and secure home where they stay best friends forever.

A dog found abandoned in a Merseyside cemetery with two broken legs has been put down after vets deemed his injuries too severe to fix. The dog, named Elmo, had been treated so badly during his life that vets concluded every bone in his body had broken at some point. John Littlewood, an RSPCA animal welfare officer, who went to find Elmo in the cemetery in Prenton after being informed by a member of the public, said he strongly believed “he was dumped and left to die in the cold” . “When Elmo was found, he was covered in faeces and smelled of stale urine, and had severely overgrown claws."
