Sometimes events happen that seem nothing short of miraculous. This is certainly the case for Claudia, a tabby cat who went missing for fifteen months straight, and her human Adrienne Hamilton who searched for months for her missing feline. The cat was found by a cyclist named Becky Steel who noticed the cat stranded on the base of Dolphin Bridge in Norwich, England. Two men, Stephen Hawkes and Danny Mealey, were nearby in their boat. The men slowly approached the feline in their boat, which isn’t exactly the ideal vehicle to rescue a cat in due to their fear of water. The tabby was cooperative however if not a little apprehensive in nature says those who witnessed the rescue. It wasn’t known who the owner was until the RSPCA took the stranded tabby to a vet. Taking your dog with you on a boating trip may seem like the best idea in the world: they get all that fresh air and a chance to see what the great ocean is all about. But like most owners, no one ever expects that they’d jump off for a swim on their own. That’s what happened to Nick Haworth when he believed he’d lost his dog Luna forever when she went overboard in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. He thought that she was gone forever and mourned his loss. Only five weeks later, he received news that someone had spotted Luna on San Clemente Island, which is used as a training base of the Navy. Take a look at this video It was only a two-mile swim from where she went overboard, and many people believed she survived by eating mice. In Arlington, Texas, a family were happily reunited with their missing dogs after one year, however the circumstances were different and no one can be sure what horrible experiences the dogs had to experience, reports CbsLocalNews. In a miraculous recovery, emaciated Tank and and Bowser had been found wandering along a country road in Ennis. The rescue group Cody's Friends Rescue offered to help them. Because the dogs had microchips, the organization was able to track down their family, and not long after the discovery of the dogs' identities, a telephone call came into their owner, Laurie Lyles. “We found your dogs. I do want to warn you that they are not in good shape," stated Cody's Friends Rescue, Nancy Stephenson. METHUEN POLICE Some acts of compassion are so spectacular, they literally stop traffic. Consider Lexi, a German shepherd who managed to find herself lost on a bustling stretch of Interstate 495 in Massachusetts. According to state police, who shared the encounter on Facebook , the lost, frightened dog was dangling dangerously in and out of traffic when officers arrived. But when they tried to coax Lexi off the road, the errant animal bounded back into the rush of traffic. It was time for some serious police work — a coordinated effort from not one, but three agencies: Massachusetts State Police, officers from the Methuen Police Department and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. That’s just what this sweet Pit Bull here did on Tuesday morning, when she got loose from her owner. According to  a post on the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Facebook page , Officer Larry Taylor was out in his brand new police car when he got what was described as  “a very unexpected visitor.” A dog ran and jumped right in when the door was opened and she made herself all comfortable in his passenger seat. Her owner was located, came and was able to get her out. That is after she spent some time with Officer Taylor writing a police report. A California woman said she was "devastated" to learn that her pet dog had been brought to a shelter and adopted by another family, whom she doesn't know. "We are hurting," Robinson said, crying. "Our family is not complete without her and her playmate Laddie [the dog] is depressed because she's not around. They’ve been together since they were pups. "It upsets me because I know she's waiting for us to come and get her and we don't know exactly where she is." Sharon Robinson, 71, of Stockton, California told ABC News that she and her husband Larry, 73, took a trip to Boston on Dec. 4.
