Our country has brave men and women who fight for our freedom and safety overseas and here at home – and many of those men and women have canine partners! We hear stories about the heroic acts of the dogs and mourn when they are killed in the line of duty. New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) recently built a 72-acre training facility to train dogs to sniff out drugs and explosives; it is the largest dog training facility in the United States. The dogs, once trained are part of the MTAPD’s Canine Unit! At the facility, buses and train cars are used to train the dogs for real-life situations. Take a look at this video Becoming an MTAPD canine isn’t easy – the trainers will train 30 dogs, but only accept one onto the force! Practice makes perfect; the dogs train for several months before leaving the facility. The dogs are hard-working but also people friendly! Share away, people.

Dang. You’re not going to believe this video, to be honest! No, I’m serious! When I saw it, and before these two dogs dropped my jaw, I was thinking this is going to be the same ol’ thing, but boy was I wrong. These two dogs were playing with their giant chew toy (a tire!) when suddenly it fell in the middle of the pool. What happened next is just unbelievable! One of the dogs jumped in the pool and was wondering how to get the tire back out. I’m not going to spoil the fun for you, so you have to check this video out for yourself! Pit Bulls are descendants of English bull-baiting dogs. According to the aspca.org, these dogs were bred to hold onto bears and bulls by biting around the face and head. When baiting animals were outlawed, the English bull-baiting dogs were bred with smaller, faster terrors to make a more athletic dog – that dog is what we know as the pit bull. Out of the mouths of babes’ is an expression that means sometimes children say things that are surprisingly insightful. Some of us have experienced the love and dedication from a dog we lived with – they can offer us comfort in our times of need and can even be silly with us! A woman was riding her bike in China near the Jiangxi Institute of Engineering when she fell off her bike and died almost instantly. The paramedics left her and the dogs still stood vigil near their deceased owner. I can’t train my dogs to do anything. I mean that. They won’t even sit for me. They will play fetch, but to be honest, I think that they’ve trained me into doing that. The woman in this video, though, does not have that problem at all. She’s got four Dobermans who are more well behaved than most human children. This is the Dobie Team, and they are incredibly intelligent and respectful to their human. Watching this video makes my jaw drop to the floor in disbelief. Seriously, I don’t even know how this woman went about training the dogs like this. If you’re like me, and you can’t get your dogs to do the simplest things, then I recommend watching this video. Dogs and owners get to have quite a bond. Owners feel especially proud when dogs show off some of the skills that have been taught to them by those owners. Well, these police officers are clearly proud of both the work they’ve put into training their dog and the dog himself. When it comes to therapy dogs, they can be some of the brightest pooches in the world. They have to be in order to help their humans with whatever tasks they need. They have to learn so many different commands that it requires them to pay attention and use their natural instincts to provide the assistance that these people are looking for. Dagger is one of those therapy dogs who has done well in his training and is on his way to becoming a therapy dog for Canine Companions for Independence. He’s had to go through a lot of tests in order to get to where he is now, but one of the things he loves doing more than anything else is painting. He showed an interest in watching his owner and trainer paint, and she decided to make it easy for him to join her in the activity as well. Dogs are famous for their protective natures, especially over kids. Dogs can just seem to tell babies are young, defenseless, and need protection. This dog is no different, he’s just started a little while earlier than most dogs. The man in the video is a friend of the family, who knows the family and the dog well. But in the last couple weeks, the dog has decided that NO ONE should be touching the belly where his future human is. He even gets a little vocal about it. The family assures us that the dog is not violent, and is usually a sweet tempered boy. It can feel really good to know that you have someone to guard your family at night while you’re sleeping! Service dogs are trained to be obedient and to resist the temptation of everything around them. That takes a lot of dedication and patience to train a service dog right, and this rottweiler proves that all that work has paid off. Brutus Maximus is sitting in a local McDonald’s as his owner is training him to leave food alone, as well as being accustomed to having people around him. The owner seems to tease him somewhat by placing the tray on the edge, with a burger just within the dog’s reach. When he goes to get ketchup and leaves the dog alone, we all think that Brutus will give in to temptation and scarf the whole thing down when he isn’t being watched. But on return to the table, we see that he hasn’t touched a single thing! Take a look at this video! St. Patrick’s Day is a time for fun… and a little bit of drinking. The holiday is known for getting a little rowdy when people are ready, and nothing’s more amusing than poking fun at those who indulge a little too much in their drinks. This video takes one of the most mundane activities of sheep herding and turns it into an amusing spectacle for the whole world to see. Instead of sheep, this border collie is wrangling a group of men to try and get them to the pub on time without any distractions. Take a look at this video! With the whistled instructions from her owner, she does her best to keep them in check, and although she manages to let a few stray every now and again, she finally manages to get them all corralled in to the bar so that they can get their favorite drinks. Rescue dogs can be awfully cute, but they have very important jobs to do that save people’s lives. Wylie, the nine-year old Australian shepherd knows this all too well, and takes his job very seriously. He has to go through regular training exercises to keep his skills ans his nose up to snuff. Here we seem him going through one of the staged situations to ensure that he isn’t slacking off on his job. They dig a deep hole and have one of the training crew to get inside before the hole is covered up again. At the top of the slope, Wylie’s let off his leash and he goes in a frantic search to see if anyone’s been buried. He finds the spot right away and starts digging, glad to see that the person on the other side is still alive! Dogs can form incredible bonds with each other that can withstand the test of time. Abandoned dogs that live on the streets and have these connections are even better, as they have someone they can rely on when times get rough. But being a stray doesn’t come without a price. They’re more at risk of being hit by a car, and that’s exactly what happened here. This small white dog had been hit by a car on the highway, and it would have been left for dead had it not been for its canine companion. The larger dog managed to drag the poor pup onto a less busy street where there were fewer chances of getting hit again, and decided to sit and wait, hoping that someone would take notice and provide some assistance. A dog is a man’s best friend. we know this simply because it’s been repeated so many times it’s literally like it’s carved on a stone. But truth be said, it’s not only a saying – it is true and it’s videos like this that proves it. If you’re a pet parent, you know how hyper and excited your dogs get when they go outside, isn’t it? Not this dog though. This dog knows that his owner is old and that he wouldn’t be able to run or walk faster, so instead of running around and being hyper like other dogs, this dog decides to take things slow… very slow. Having to stand in line and wait for your name to be called in school in the mornings can be an antagonizing moment for any child. But dogs seem to have a lot more patience than we give them credit for. Watch as this woman stands at the entrance to this penned-in area and starts calling off the dog’s names one by one. She’s not going in any particular order, but the dogs know what to do when they hear their name called. They each take their turn, strolling through the gate to the other side. Dogs can have some strange routines that we don’t understand, but if it what makes them feel safe, then who are we to stop them? But when one man told his friends about his dog’s nightly routine, they didn’t believe them. So he had to document it for himself. As we can see here, the dog walks up to the bedpost of his bed and says a quick prayer so that he won’t have any nightmares tonight. Then he crawls into his bed where it’s nice and comfortable. But it seems he’s forgotten something. Why is he so cold? Then he remembers his blanket and manages to tuck himself in. He couldn’t look more comfy with just his head peeking out of the blankets. This little dog has learned a new trick and when you listen to it, you’re going really laugh first and then it’s going to blow your mind! Dogs are very social creatures, they’re very intelligent and if they’re trained right, they can do miracles, really. This dog just did and it’s going to drop your jaw! When commanded by his mommy, this dog can actually meow! And it’s not just any meow, it’s a meow like a cat, just like a cat! Of course he gets treated for his mimicking talent, but I think deep down, he’s enjoying to be able to meow occasionally. A lot of people think that when they introduce their newborn to their dog that the dog will miraculously start loving her form the second she steps in the house! While this is true for some dogs, others just need their space and time and no one could have said, better yet, expressed it better than this dog! His reaction just dropped her jaw! This dog was asked to come over to meet his new baby sister and then the woman took her baby’s blankie and asked her pup to sniff it. Little did she know that her pup had probably just eaten and now he was going to throw up! This is hilarious and you can tell the woman wasn’t expecting this at all! It’s true that your dog will care and love your baby more than you will do, and this story is a proof, because it’s showing how dogs are truly amazing. Meet Bear, the black Labrador, who did the unthinkable to save his baby friend Stanley, who is only a 14 month old boy. Accidently the boy fell into a backyard pool, his mother was not around, and only the dog felt that there is something wrong. The Labrador dog jumped immediately to the pool and lifted the boy up.  When the mother noticed that the dog and the baby weren’t around at the yard, she ran immediately searching for them, she was totally shocked to see her baby in water, but something warmed her heart when she sew Bear lifting her baby. She helped the dog to get out and took them immediately to the hospital to check on both of them. Thankfully no water was in her baby’s lungs.
