Dogs Spend Weeks In Parking Lot, Refusing To Move From Spot They Were Abandoned

Dogs are loving and loyal. They bond to their humans and never want to leave them. But not all humans bond with their dogs. Two dogs in Florida were stranded in a parking lot when they’re owner left them to fend for themselves. Witnesses say that the dogs spent most of their time sitting in one spot. It’s probably the spot where the person they loved most in this world left them. Source: 100 Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida/Facebook The pair ran from everyone who tried to catch them. Finally, humane traps set by 100 Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida did the trick. Source: 100 Abandoned Dogs of Everglades Florida Rescuers recorded a video of the pups’ car ride to safety. You can see how close they are snuggling. They are extremely bonded to one another. The pair are currently up for adoption , however, they must be adopted together. They deserve to have a loving and secure home where they stay best friends forever.

She left this teacup poodle in Elevator, But what the camera caught next? SPEECHLESS

There’s really no mystery as to how dogs earned their reputation as “man’s best friend.” But below is a great example of how! This is a story of a dog named Nala that can be found at the retirement home. Nala is a five-year-old teacup poodle helping to cheer up the seniors at the Lyngblomsten care center in St. Paul, MN. Pet owner is Doug Dawson he is a medications assistant at the nursing home, and he also brings Nala everyday to work. He says he doesn’t see her until the end of the day. When they stroll through the front entryway, the puppy goes to the elevator and starts to make her rounds as the center’s unofficial angel. Nala has no formal training as a therapy pet, but instinctively knows to check on the elderly residents and appears to love sitting on their laps and cuddling close to them. Many of the residents believe this dog is is a blessing from above and after seeing this video, I think you’ll concur.

'He was my baby': Family furious at vet after dog 'suffocated' during routine nail appointment

A COUPLE have been left devastated and angry after their British bulldog died during a routine vet's appointment to have his overgrown toe nail cut. Michael and Kellie Bloomfield, from Croydon, took their beloved tanned, six-year-old dog, Kitch, to Vets 4 Pets, in Lower Addiscombe Road, on Tuesday for the nail trimming. In the past, he had worn a muzzle as he could be anxious but this time the family say Kitch was given a muzzle too small for his face meaning his mouth could not open. The couple claim the vet's assistant put her full weight onto the six-stone pooch to prevent him from moving as he was straining to get up. Mother-of-three Kellie, 39, said: "They got about four or five muzzles out that didn't fit him but they decided to put this long, tube one on him, the kind you'd put on a greyhound. "The vet cut another nail and that started bleeding. By the time he had cleared the blood up, I wanted him to stop and he took the muzzle off him.

Dog found abandoned in cemetery had ‘every bone broken’

A dog found abandoned in a Merseyside cemetery with two broken legs has been put down after vets deemed his injuries too severe to fix. The dog, named Elmo, had been treated so badly during his life that vets concluded every bone in his body had broken at some point. John Littlewood, an RSPCA animal welfare officer, who went to find Elmo in the cemetery in Prenton after being informed by a member of the public, said he strongly believed “he was dumped and left to die in the cold” . “When Elmo was found, he was covered in faeces and smelled of stale urine, and had severely overgrown claws." Mr Littlewood took him to the vet, suspecting “he had two broken back legs”. “I was shocked when the vet came back to say there was almost no bone in the dog’s body which had not been broken, he had broken hips, broken ‘wrists’ and cartilage damage.” According to vets, it is possible that some of the injuries sustained by Elmo dated back several years, inflicting long-term pain o

Sweet Dog Left At Shelter Inside A Taped Box Finds Forever Home

Warning: This video may be considered too graphic for some readers. Pandora the dog was left in a taped up box outside of the  San Jose Animal Care Center on April 23rd of last year. She was discovered to have been seriously abused, with her hair in giant knots and a massive tumor growing out of her right shoulder. It became very clear to the staff at the animal care center that Pandora would need special attention, and they documented her experience in the video below. You don’t need tissues for this one. Just try not to get too angry.

See Woman's Emotional Reunion With Dog That Was Mistakenly Adopted By Another Family

After a long, agonizing saga of being lost and found, a Shetland Sheepdog has finally been reunited with its rightful owner. "You're home baby," sobbed 71-year-old Sharon Robinson as hugged her Sheltie named Tipsy. "Oh, Tipsy," she said as INSIDE EDITION documented the joyous, and tearful, moment. The Stocton, California, woman had been searching for her beloved miniature Collie since the dog disappeared in December from her home. The dog did not have a collar or microchip. She and her husband, Larry, 73, had been out of town when her son called to say Tipsy had somehow escaped from the couple's fenced-in yard. The loss was heartbreaking, said Robinson, noting that her days were marked by crying in the morning and crying every night. She says she visited the local animal shelter several times, but didn't find Tipsy, she said. Then she learned the dog had been transferred to another shelter, located about an hour away. Tipsy had already b

This Doggie Just Hates Seeing Litter – What She Does During Her Walks Is Incredible

Paris can’t stand to see trash litter her streets. Not the City, so much as the dog. Paris is a 9-year-old boxer from Bodmin, Cornwall with an unusual obsession. She goes about her day primarily with only one thing on her mind, and that’s picking up your garbage. During walks with her owner Fran Hodges, Paris, will stop along the way picking up plastic bottles, aluminum cans, the occasional piece of wood, and all other sorts of reusable objects; then brings them home, and puts them straight into the recycling bin.

He Tries To Touch A TERRIFIED Stray Dog. But It Was What Followed Next That Left Me In TEARS!

There are quite a number of animal rescue organizations in the world, but there are still not enough to rescue all the suffering animals in the streets. Hope For Paws, is one of such organizations who have been trying their hardest to rescue human’s best friends from the streets and even shelter. This video below features one of their dramatic rescues and this will break your heart! Venus, a Coastal German Shepherd was abandoned in the desert and left to die. Poor Venus was overheated, exhausted and starving when Eldad and Hope for Paws team spotted her. She was so very terrified of humans that she didn’t even want to go near humans and the team had hard time rescuing her. For four months some kindhearted strangers had fed Venus but she refused to let anyone get close enough to capture her. So the team had to use a tranquilizer to capture her. Wait till you see what happens next.

Dog Who Was Missing Most Of His Face Makes A Complete Recovery

Warning : Graphic content below. Animal Aid Unlimited , a rescue organization in India, received word of a severely injured dog who had given up hope — and had found a hole where he could quietly wait to die. YOUTUBE/ANIMAL AID UNLIMITED The poor dog, later named Kalu, was missing a huge section of his face, and the wound was infected and just overall horrible. It was one of the worst animal injuries the very active rescue team had ever seen. YOUTUBE/ANIMAL AID UNLIMITED Rescuers were able to get Kalu out of the hole and to safety. Despite their hope, everyone knew that their best option might be to put him down.  YOUTUBE/ANIMAL AID UNLIMITED "But something in his spirit convinced us to give him a chance," Animal Aid Unlimited  wrote in their rescue video . And so, against all odds, they began to treat Kalu.  YOUTUBE/ANIMAL AID UNLIMITED A huge part of the pup's skull was exposed, and it seemed that his eyes were completely g

He Was Dying From Starvation In A Backyard…But Thanks To This Woman, He’s Now Transformed!

This dog, named Smokey, did not have a good life with his previous owners. The people he belonged to didn’t even want him. He was kept outside and was not given food or water. In fact, the woman wanted to “put him down” but did not feel like paying the money to do so. When a woman named Darlene heard this story coming from her manicurist’s mouth (the woman who owned the puppy) she could not believe it. Darlene asked for a picture of the dog, and noticed how emaciated and sad he looked. She went to the woman’s house and saw Smokey there; he could not walk and wasn’t even able to eat the food she tried to give him. Darlene took the pup and brought him to an animal hospital. He was given fluids and food. They believe he hadn’t eaten for weeks, maybe even months. Eventually he began to gain weight and went from 40 to 60 pounds. Forte Animal Rescue in Marina del Rey, California, helped Darlene pay for the hospital bills and also to re-home him. Now, less than a year later, Smokey is ba

Shelter Dog Won't Stop Shaking, Even When He Wags His Tail

At the animal shelter in New York City, there's a dog who won't stop shaking. Even with his head firmly entrenched in a shelter worker's arms, and his tail wagging valiantly, Liquorish trembles uncontrollably. Maybe it's just cold at the Manhattan Animal Care Centers . Or maybe Liquorish knows his number came up on Thursday, and he's hours past the time when he can officially be put down. Maybe he shivers from a general sense of a world — a world that saw him purchased from a pet store and then given up because, according to a Facebook post from animal rescuers who work with the shelter, he's "too hyper." That same post notes, however, that he was only taken for walks twice a week. If that's the case, a certain pent-up energy may be understandable. And maybe a certain sense of betrayal too. But shelter workers see no hint of bitterness in this love-starved dog. A volunteer at the shelter writes in the same Facebook post: "He

This Dog Accidentally Ran A Half-Marathon And Placed Seventh

Meet Ludivine. She’s a two-and-a-half year old hound dog from Elkmont, Alabama, who just won seventh place in the town’s half-marathon. The morning of the race, her owner let her out to relieve herself. Ludivine, who frequently roams the small town and is well known by its 400-something residents, wandered all the way to the local half-marathon and started running. She completed all 13.1 miles. “All I did was open the door, and she ran the race on her own accord,” April Hamlin, Ludivine’s owner, told Runner’s World . She even got a medal! She looks so proud!!! Hamlin only found out about her pup’s great accomplishment when friends who were volunteering at the race texted her with photos. She was surprised, to say the least. “She’s laid back and friendly, so I can’t believe she ran the whole half marathon because she’s actually really lazy,” said Hamlin. Congrats on the big win, Ludivine!

He Was Just Filming His Guinea Pigs When They Suddenly Started Doing THIS…I’m CRYING!

I KNEW IT!!! I knew these furry cuties are talking about something when they move their lips like that but I just couldn’t put my finger on it. These guys put a camera in there with them and it turns out they were talking about pumpkin spice lattes. This is the most genius piece of comedy I’ve seen in a while. Good banter, excellent synchronization, I wish there was more content like this. These two guinea pigs kinda remind me of Statler and Waldorf, those two old guys from the Muppets who always complain about something, only funnier.

Desperate Dog Trapped In Gate Has The Sweetest Reaction To Being Freed

It's hard to say how long this sweet stray dog was trapped in a metal gate before rescuers finally came to her aid, but she must have been terrified — stuck, alone and unable to get help for herself. Animal Aid Unlimited , a rescue in Udaipur, India, posted a video of the desperate dog. While the neighbors heard her cries, they were scared of dogs and didn't try to free her. Rescuers from Animal Aid showed up and calmed her down, gaining her trust before they tried to lift her out of her tight situation. Maybe she sensed that they were there to help her, because she let herself be stroked and petted. Then the Animal Aid rescuers gently lifted the struggling dog out of her predicament, all the while whispering to her and caressing her head. Animal Aid took her back to the shelter, where she recovered and was spayed. Sadly, because of the huge numbers of stray dogs who live on the streets in India, it's not feasible for the rescue to find homes for every animal it

Dog found in Dagenham has 'football-sized' tumour removed

A "football-sized" tumour has been removed from the abdomen of an abandoned dog. The female Jack Russell, discovered alone in Dagenham on 7 January, is being looked after by the South West Essex RSPCA. Insp Mitchell Smith said the dog was in "a terrible state", but after surgery to remove the 2lb 10oz (1.2kg) mass was feeling "a lot better". The charity is appealing for a foster home for the dog. The 12-year-old, which staff called Beautiful Brilliant Betty, was also covered in fleas, has cataracts, poor hearing and needed dental work. The RSPCA is appealing for information on how the dog came to be abandoned.

Man Finds His Stolen Dog While Looking To Adopt A New Shelter Dog

Every day we hear a story about dogs that constantly get abused or stolen, and it’s heartbreaking. People are so heartless nowadays, stealing dogs to get money, and who knows what else. It makes me sick to my stomach when I hear a new story everyday about another dog that has been abused or abandoned by his owner, or just stolen, leaving his owner heartbroken and hopeless. But as always, we should never lose hope, because one day, we will get back what we once lost, somehow and someday. This is what happened to David Brower and his dog, after his dog got stolen from his yard, he lost hope after never finding him again, at least not until he did, after a year and a half. When David knew that all hope was lost, he decided to search for a new companion. It seems that David loves dogs a lot, which is an amazing thing. But what happened while he was searching is incredible. While he was searching on the Claresholm Rescue Society website in Alberta, Canada, he was stunned to se

This Shelter Dog Had Completely Given Up Hope, But Then Her Family Walked In

One year ago, Reddit user goldie0702 made everyone’s hearts swell with before and after photos titled “What a difference one day can make. Meet Spokey!” The pictures showed a forlorn dog in a shelter, head hung low as though she’d simply given up, alongside the smiling post-adoption snapshot. They received almost 1.7 million views. Now that Spokey and her family have gotten to know each other, they decided it would only be right to share a little more of the story. Spokey met her humans for the first time at the Maryland SPCA; she had been found in rural West Virginia twenty pounds underweight, and showed clear signs of having been a mom in the past. Her owner wrote: We fell in love with her the minute we saw her, and returned to the SPCA every day until she was available for adoption. When the new pup parents took their best friend home, it was a bit of a roller coaster ride. But with help from the shelter and so many amazingly supportive comments from Reddit users , t

$500 Fine for Pet Owners Who Leave Animals Outside

ROCKVILLE, MD — With lows dropping into the teens at night, Montgomery County authorities are reminding residents not to leave pets tied up and unattended outside. Pet owners face a $500 fine for violating the ordinance. The Director of the Montgomery County Animal Services Division Thomas Koenig says his officers will enforce a county regulation that says, “a person must not tether a dog under circumstances that endanger its health, safety, or well-being including: unattended tethering of the dog during a weather emergency.” Enforcement of the regulation goes into effect during periods of extreme cold, wind, and heavy snow, which can all be damaging to dogs and other animals. Montgomery County Police Animal Services officers urge residents to bring pets indoors during extreme weather. Even animals that are accustomed to living outdoors can be susceptible to the dangers of cold weather. Livestock animals should have a place to get out of the wind and dry bedding should be

Man Builds 'Dog Train' To Take Rescued Pups Out On Little Adventures

Eugene Bostick may have officially retired about 15 years ago, but in some ways that was when his most impactful work began. Not long after, he embarked on a new career path of sorts — as a train conductor for rescued stray dogs. The lively 80-year-old Fort Worth, Texas, native says he never planned on dedicating his golden years to helping needy pets. Instead, it was a duty thrust upon him by the heartlessness of others. "We live down on a dead-end street, where me and my brother have a horse barn," Bostick told The Dodo. "People sometimes come by and dump dogs out here, leaving them to starve. So, we started feeding them, letting them in, taking them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. We made a place for them to live." Over the years, Bostick has taken in countless abandoned dogs. But more than just keeping them safe, he's found an adorable way to keep them happy, too. While the rescued dogs have plenty of room to run and play on Bostic

Man arrested trying to save dogs from house fire

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. - Brevard County sheriff's deputies arrested a man Wednesday morning after they say he ignored firefighters' commands and tried to save his dogs from his burning home. Brevard County Fire Rescue crews responded to 2387 Victor Road at around 5 a.m. Wednesday after someone called 911 to report the fire. Fire investigators tell News 6 they found the home was full of smoke from a fire that appeared to start in a television and spread. They say Wendell Joyner, 58, kept going inside his burning home to save his three dogs. "I got out of the house, and then I realized, 'Oh, wait a minute, my dogs are in there, " Joyner said. "So, I went back inside to look for my dogs." Joyner tells News 6 he kept getting overcome with smoke, and he had to keep coming outside to breathe. He said he saw an opportunity when he grabbed a firefighter's ax and threw it through a front window to get access to his dogs. Deputies tackled Joyner,

Woman 'Devastated' After Her Dog Was Mistakenly Adopted By Another Family

A California woman said she was "devastated" to learn that her pet dog had been brought to a shelter and adopted by another family, whom she doesn't know. "We are hurting," Robinson said, crying. "Our family is not complete without her and her playmate Laddie [the dog] is depressed because she's not around. They’ve been together since they were pups. "It upsets me because I know she's waiting for us to come and get her and we don't know exactly where she is." Sharon Robinson, 71, of Stockton, California told ABC News that she and her husband Larry, 73, took a trip to Boston on Dec. 4. But while the couple was away, Robinson's son, who was caring for her two dogs, called to inform the couple that their female dog, Tipsy, was missing. Robinson said she's had Tipsy, a 9-year-old Shetland sheep dog, since she was 5 months old. "There's a doggy door, our yard is fenced in, so I'm not sure how she got out

Puppy And Human Argue About Waking Up And It’s SO CUTE!

Thor spends a lot of energy growing and needs extra sleep. His human doesn’t always agree. This little “tiff” is adorable. Look at how big Thor’s paws are! My goodness! He has big paws to fill and with all that growing, who can blame him for being so tired?! I know I can’t! Thor, I love you!

Puppy Dumped By Breeder Heals In Baby Bouncer

This bulldog puppy is only 2 months old and he's completely incapable of standing, let alone walking. Bueller came to the Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals  (SSPCA) late last week. He was given up by a breeder who never took him to see a vet. It's been a whirlwind for Bueller ever since, as the SSPCA staff now works on getting his groove back. In this case, that means regaining his ability to do what dogs do best — run around and play freely to their hearts' content. Bueller was born with what is known as " swimmer's syndrome ." "Basically, it is a defect that causes a flat chest, and the legs and paws to 'splay' out like a swimmer or a frog. In Bueller's case, he is affected on all four limbs and is unable to stand, walk or lift up anything other than his head," Sarah Varanini, foster care coordinator at the SSPCA, told The Dodo. "It is a genetic defect and a good example of why breeding dogs

Woman Braves Cold To Feed Hundreds Of Stray Cats Each Day

With an estimated 150,000 cats and dogs roaming its streets, Istanbul, Turkey, has more strays than its government knows how to handle. Despite these overwhelming numbers, one woman does her very best to help the city's animals. Vera, a resident of the city's coastal Kartal district, takes care of the 350 or so stray cats that live on the region's the rocky shore, providing them with the food and medical care they so desperately need. During the winter, when food is scarce, Vera tries to feed the cats every day, bringing up to 50 lbs. of food down to the water. Luckily, she doesn't have to endure the frigid temperatures alone, having started a volunteer organization, the Atalar Sahili Cat Neutering Group , to help care for the cats. Keeping the strays fed, however, is only part of the mission for Vera and her volunteers. "Apart from this, we pick up sick cats and send them to vet for treatment," a representative told Love Meow. "Last year w
