Shelter Puts Rescue Dogs In A Photo Booth To Get Them Adopted. The Results Speak For Themselves!

It’s a cruel statistic, but it’s a statistic we all need to hear. Over 3.9 million dogs will end up in animal shelters across the United States every year. 3.9 million. What’s even more tragic is that around a third of those dogs will be euthanized because there isn’t enough dog owners out there willing to adopt these dogs.

There’s hope, however. Organizations all over the country are thinking of creative ways to shed light on this problem to the public. One of these organizations, The Human Society of Utah, decided to take photos of shelter dogs in order to showcase their loving personality.

It’s the organization’s hope that these photos will show potential dog owners that it’s better to adopt a shelter dog in need rather than buy. What all these dogs need is love.

It’s one of the most sorrowful sounds you’ll ever hear, but it’s also a sad reality check for anyone who thinks protected species are safe from illegal poaching. In a video released this in July, a baby rhino named Davi cries for his mother after she was shot and killed by poachers. Most rhinos spend at least three years with their mothers before weaning, the Dodo reports, but Davi’s childhood was cut short at just 8 months old.
