A Marine Was Raking Leaves When He Found A Baby Bunny. What Happened Next Is So Heartwarming!

When you work in the military, there are plenty of things that can take you by surprise. If you’ve been following your training carefully enough, you’re prepared for any situation at hand. It could mean the difference between life and death, and it’s all up to how well you can perform what you’ve been taught.

But nothing could prepare this marine for what he was about to face. When he was raking leaves one day, what he found underneath took him completely by surprise and changed his life forever. It was a litter of baby bunnies.

He found their dead mother nearby, and not wanting the babies to suffer, decided to take them in. He gathered them up and made a warm nest for them out of some blankets and sweaters while he looked up how to take care of them.

He started off by bottle feeding them ever day until they became used to him. He’d bonded with them so quickly that he even gave them names: Steven, Raymond, Vaughn, and James.

You can see from the video below just how much they care about his presence, as he feeds them very slowly with a dropper. The rest of the bunny’s siblings are still in their pen, waiting their turn for meal time.

But it was inevitable that his bunnies would start to get too big for their pen and start getting out on their own. That was when the marine decided to turn them over to a wildlife rehabilitation centre where they could stay until they were ready to be returned to the wild.

It’s likely that he misses the baby bunnies, but he definitely stepped into their lives at the right time so that they could have a second chance at life. Share away, people.

Tesco: Ditch palm oil in your own-brand products!

>>>SIGN PETITION HERE<<< My name is Oscar, I’m 15 and I want to do everything I can to protect our environment .  I was really upset and angry when I found out about the huge deforestation that is involved in the palm oil industry,  and that’s why I’m calling on Tesco to ditch palm oil from their own-brand products. Iceland has already banned palm oil from their own brand products, so we know that this is possible for Tesco too. As the largest supermarket in the UK (and using over 40,000 tonnes of palm oil every year!), Tesco has an opportunity to set an example to other supermarkets and food producers that  destroying swathes of forests for palm oil is not acceptable. I run a online cause called ‘Justice4Earth’ ( @justice4earth  on Instagram and  @justice4earth  on Twitter) where I raise awareness about environmental issues. I found out that palm oil is literally everywhere: from shampoos, toothpastes and detergen...

She Visited A Chained Dog Every Day Until The Dog Disappeared. But That Led To Something Amazing.

Jes is a member of PETA, and she feels incredibly strongly about the animals in her life. For years, one such animal was a dog named Edith. Jes saw Edith chained up day after day, so she started visiting the poor dog. She would bring the loving pooch treats, food, water, and once she even brought a doghouse to the trapped dog. Then, one day Edith’s family moved and took the dog with them. PETA spent a lot of time and energy tracking Edith down, and in March of 2016 her owner’s officially gave Edith to PETA because they were moving once again. This is an incredible and touching story, and if you check out the video below you can watch it all in close detail, and I’m sure that you’ll fall in love with Edith just the way that Jes did. Take a look! Now Edith and Jes are reunited and the two of them couldn’t possibly be happier! Share away, people!

“I’m Not Leaving You, Mama!” This is What Love Looks Like.

UPDATE: Lizzie and Phantom are currently recovering in an outdoor koala ward within the  Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital . They’re doing swimmingly; Phantom is both gaining weight and exploring his temporary habitat. And of course, mama and baby are sharing more adorable cuddles! For most species in the animal kingdom, the bond between mother and baby is incredibly strong. That's pretty much inarguable. But last week, two koalas in Australia further proved it. After they were hit by a car, Lizzie and her joey, Phantom were welcomed into the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. Six-month-old Phantom had escaped the accident unscathed. Lizzie, however, wasn’t looking so good, what with facial trauma and a collapsed lung. In order to survive, she needed to go under the surgeon’s knife. But this marsupial mama wasn’t alone during the life-saving procedure. Phantom accompanied her and clung to her as she received treatment. The vets let them be; Phantom was too y...
