Hilarious Cat Won’t Let Man Leave For Work

Dogs may claim the title of man’s best friend, but anyone who has lived with a cat knows they can be just as affectionate and loving with their owners.

While cats can sometimes be cute little jerks, the adorable feline in this next video just loves his human companion so much that he refuses to let him go to work!

Every day when this man tries to leave the house, the cat follows him down the sidewalk. The feline meows and rubs against his legs as he tries to leave. Finally, the guy decided to film himself trying to leave one morning — just to prove that his cat really acted this way.

At one point, the cat is even seen grabbing his leg, and almost looks like he’s trying to hug him goodbye — or just hold him back from going to work. Some may call it annoying, but this cat just really loves his human.

It’s one of the most sorrowful sounds you’ll ever hear, but it’s also a sad reality check for anyone who thinks protected species are safe from illegal poaching. In a video released this in July, a baby rhino named Davi cries for his mother after she was shot and killed by poachers. Most rhinos spend at least three years with their mothers before weaning, the Dodo reports, but Davi’s childhood was cut short at just 8 months old. Much of the world sees dogs as their trusted companions, but in parts of Asia they suffer terribly as victims of the trade in dog meat for human consumption. In some Asian countries, dogs used for this industry are mostly stolen pets and they are sometimes tortured before being slaughtered.
