Idiots Drag Shark From Ocean So They Can Get Photos

Getting to see an aquatic creature up and close and personal isn’t something anyone would want to pass up. But that’s what aquariums are for. These men decided to take it into their own hands, however, in getting photos of a baby shark.

Florida news anchor Ashleigh Walters managed to capture footage of the two men dragging the shark from the waters towards the shore.

It’s obvious that the animal is in distress, as it thrashes about, trying to get free. Sharks were not meant to breathe air either, so it’s slowly drowning to death as these men take it upon themselves to get a few photos.

It’s a perfect example of the human ego manipulating nature for their own gain, allowing the animal to suffer just because they could. Even with the photo opportunities over, they do very little to help the shark try and get back into the waters.

They don’t bring it deep enough into the water, and the shark seems to swim right back up to shore. It’s disoriented and weak. Some of the men try to bring it out further to sea, but after a few minutes, the animal didn’t resurface.

No one knows if the creature survived this ordeal or not. Sadly, very little can be done to bring these men to justice.

Although recreational shark fishing is legal in North America, there are special regulations that must be adhered to. Taking selfies with them doesn’t seem to be a part of these regulations. Share away, people.

Tesco: Ditch palm oil in your own-brand products!

>>>SIGN PETITION HERE<<< My name is Oscar, I’m 15 and I want to do everything I can to protect our environment .  I was really upset and angry when I found out about the huge deforestation that is involved in the palm oil industry,  and that’s why I’m calling on Tesco to ditch palm oil from their own-brand products. Iceland has already banned palm oil from their own brand products, so we know that this is possible for Tesco too. As the largest supermarket in the UK (and using over 40,000 tonnes of palm oil every year!), Tesco has an opportunity to set an example to other supermarkets and food producers that  destroying swathes of forests for palm oil is not acceptable. I run a online cause called ‘Justice4Earth’ ( @justice4earth  on Instagram and  @justice4earth  on Twitter) where I raise awareness about environmental issues. I found out that palm oil is literally everywhere: from shampoos, toothpastes and detergen...

She Visited A Chained Dog Every Day Until The Dog Disappeared. But That Led To Something Amazing.

Jes is a member of PETA, and she feels incredibly strongly about the animals in her life. For years, one such animal was a dog named Edith. Jes saw Edith chained up day after day, so she started visiting the poor dog. She would bring the loving pooch treats, food, water, and once she even brought a doghouse to the trapped dog. Then, one day Edith’s family moved and took the dog with them. PETA spent a lot of time and energy tracking Edith down, and in March of 2016 her owner’s officially gave Edith to PETA because they were moving once again. This is an incredible and touching story, and if you check out the video below you can watch it all in close detail, and I’m sure that you’ll fall in love with Edith just the way that Jes did. Take a look! Now Edith and Jes are reunited and the two of them couldn’t possibly be happier! Share away, people!

“I’m Not Leaving You, Mama!” This is What Love Looks Like.

UPDATE: Lizzie and Phantom are currently recovering in an outdoor koala ward within the  Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital . They’re doing swimmingly; Phantom is both gaining weight and exploring his temporary habitat. And of course, mama and baby are sharing more adorable cuddles! For most species in the animal kingdom, the bond between mother and baby is incredibly strong. That's pretty much inarguable. But last week, two koalas in Australia further proved it. After they were hit by a car, Lizzie and her joey, Phantom were welcomed into the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. Six-month-old Phantom had escaped the accident unscathed. Lizzie, however, wasn’t looking so good, what with facial trauma and a collapsed lung. In order to survive, she needed to go under the surgeon’s knife. But this marsupial mama wasn’t alone during the life-saving procedure. Phantom accompanied her and clung to her as she received treatment. The vets let them be; Phantom was too y...
