When you’re at your worst, it can feel lonely when you’re recovering. You don’t have anyone to talk to, and other people have to get on with their days. But not our pets. They’re always there for us when we need them the most. Lazarus the cat took his job as healer very seriously when her owner broke his leg.

What makes this story even more charming is that the family had rescued the kitten from being frozen in the snow and gave him a second chance at life. Now he gets to pay that forward to his owner, with snuggles and purring to help his fur dad heal.

This "festival" is an event that starts on June 21st of every year during the summer solstice and it lasts for 10 long horrifying days in which 10,000–15,000 dogs (as well as cats) are tortured and then consumed. A larger percentage of these dogs consist of pets stolen right from their loving families. The rest of the dogs are captured strays from the streets and some raised in dog farms.
