He Found These Kittens On A Dirt Road, But Look Closely… Because They’re NOT Regular Cats.

Finding stray kittens on the side of the road can be an emotional ordeal. You don’t want to abandon them to their fate, and you’re stuck between the choices of taking them home to nurse them back to health, or surrendering them to a shelter where they may never find homes of their own. Not everyone is financially equipped to take care of stray cats either, which makes the decision even more difficult.

But when eighteen-year-old Hamdan Shibli, who lives in Israel, was on his way to work, he didn’t hesitate to rescue these three siblings from their fate.

He looked around to see if their mother was nearby to take care of them, but found no signs of her.

It seemed that they were all on their own.

He made the effort to move them out of the road into a patch of grass, and that’s when he discovered that they weren’t just regular stray cats.

They were definitely something much more, something that not even Hamdan would expect.

After taking pictures of the felines and posting them online, he was informed that they were in fact jungle cats who were actually native to Asia. He quickly returned to the spot to rescue them, and found them still without their mother.

They were weak and covered in fleas, so he gathered them all up in a basket and took them back home. It was unfortunate that one of the kittens didn’t make it, leaving the two siblings alone to continue on without him.

They were brought to a wild animal hospital to receive medical treatment and get them back on the road to recovery and gaining strength.

No one knows how long they were without their mother, but her absence had obviously taken a toll on them.

They were provided with formula, as well as vitamins and minerals to help them grow strong as they matured.

The goal was to get them strong enough so that they could eventually be returned to the wild and live out the rest of their lives in freedom.

Soon, they were able to eat solid food on their own, which made their handlers’ jobs much easier.

That gave them the strength to play throughout the day, honing those instincts and skills that they’ll need to survive in the world.

The jungle cat population isn’t exactly at risk, but it has been noted that there are only about 600 living around Israel.

Hopefully these little guys will recover well, and when they’re old enough, they can be reintroduced to the wild to continue maintaining their species’ population.

“I’m Not Leaving You, Mama!” This is What Love Looks Like.

UPDATE: Lizzie and Phantom are currently recovering in an outdoor koala ward within the  Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital . They’re doing swimmingly; Phantom is both gaining weight and exploring his temporary habitat. And of course, mama and baby are sharing more adorable cuddles! For most species in the animal kingdom, the bond between mother and baby is incredibly strong. That's pretty much inarguable. But last week, two koalas in Australia further proved it. After they were hit by a car, Lizzie and her joey, Phantom were welcomed into the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. Six-month-old Phantom had escaped the accident unscathed. Lizzie, however, wasn’t looking so good, what with facial trauma and a collapsed lung. In order to survive, she needed to go under the surgeon’s knife. But this marsupial mama wasn’t alone during the life-saving procedure. Phantom accompanied her and clung to her as she received treatment. The vets let them be; Phantom was too y...

Tesco: Ditch palm oil in your own-brand products!

>>>SIGN PETITION HERE<<< My name is Oscar, I’m 15 and I want to do everything I can to protect our environment .  I was really upset and angry when I found out about the huge deforestation that is involved in the palm oil industry,  and that’s why I’m calling on Tesco to ditch palm oil from their own-brand products. Iceland has already banned palm oil from their own brand products, so we know that this is possible for Tesco too. As the largest supermarket in the UK (and using over 40,000 tonnes of palm oil every year!), Tesco has an opportunity to set an example to other supermarkets and food producers that  destroying swathes of forests for palm oil is not acceptable. I run a online cause called ‘Justice4Earth’ ( @justice4earth  on Instagram and  @justice4earth  on Twitter) where I raise awareness about environmental issues. I found out that palm oil is literally everywhere: from shampoos, toothpastes and detergen...

SIGN NOW! BAN THE SALE OF CRUEL ‘LIVE ANIMAL’ KEYCHAINS

>>> Sign the petition now to tell China to ban live animal keychains! <<< Turtles, fish and lizards are being stuffed and sealed into plastic bags and sold on the streets as keychains in China. The cost of these animals lives? About $1.50. Swimming in a small pool of colored water, the animals only last until the oxygen is used up. Then, they can theoretically be released and kept as pets – although it’s doubtful that the same people who think an animal makes a nifty trinket have the slightest clue about how to properly care for them. In an interview with CNN, David Neale, animal welfare director of Animals Asia said, “Lack of food and diminishing oxygen concentrations within both the water and the small amount of air in these plastic pouches will cause the animals to die in a relatively short period of time after the pouches are sealed.” 😠So Cruel😠 ACTUAL REAL LIVE ANIMALS are being sealed into tiny plastic pouches and sold as f**king ke...
