He Was Driving Down The Highway When He Noticed Something Heartbreaking

The wild – a place where wild animals call home, but where is this place? Haven’t humans intruded in many wild animals’ privacy already? We’ve chopped down trees, built industries and thus forced wild animals out of their house, haven’t we? The video you’re about to see below is the consequence of this – about not giving wild animals their space.

When a man called Chad Anderson was driving down Cabbage Hill outside Pendleton in Oregon, he noticed a heartbreaking sight. A poor baby deer, a fawn, was stuck in the boulder catch fence of the highway. He knew that he was meant to be there at that time to help the fawn free itself. Chad didn’t want to just drive way, instead he got down and worked until the fawn was free.

Chad knew that leaving a baby fawn out there wasn’t the right thing to do, so he protected it until the Fish and Wildlife Services came to collect it. Talk about being in the right place at the right time! Share away, people.

It’s one of the most sorrowful sounds you’ll ever hear, but it’s also a sad reality check for anyone who thinks protected species are safe from illegal poaching. In a video released this in July, a baby rhino named Davi cries for his mother after she was shot and killed by poachers. Most rhinos spend at least three years with their mothers before weaning, the Dodo reports, but Davi’s childhood was cut short at just 8 months old.
