Dogs can be downright cute when they want to be. It’s easier for them to get what they want when they use those puppy eyes on you. And when it involves something that they shouldn’t have in the first place, it can make the decision all the more difficult.

When this dog found a baby’s pacifier, it’s more than adorable to see that he’s also learned how to use one, just like a baby. He could use it for hours without any problem. When his dog mama tries to take it away from him, he doesn’t want to part with it just yet, and bats her hand gently away with a paw. She must think this is a fluke, but when she tries again, the pooch is adamant about keeping it!

It’s one of the most sorrowful sounds you’ll ever hear, but it’s also a sad reality check for anyone who thinks protected species are safe from illegal poaching. In a video released this in July, a baby rhino named Davi cries for his mother after she was shot and killed by poachers. Most rhinos spend at least three years with their mothers before weaning, the Dodo reports, but Davi’s childhood was cut short at just 8 months old.
