Taking your dog with you on a boating trip may seem like the best idea in the world: they get all that fresh air and a chance to see what the great ocean is all about. But like most owners, no one ever expects that they’d jump off for a swim on their own.
That’s what happened to Nick Haworth when he believed he’d lost his dog Luna forever when she went overboard in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. He thought that she was gone forever and mourned his loss. Only five weeks later, he received news that someone had spotted Luna on San Clemente Island, which is used as a training base of the Navy.

It was only a two-mile swim from where she went overboard, and many people believed she survived by eating mice. It’s our hope that we get to see this wonderful reunion very soon. Share away, people!
