An involuntary recall has been issued by Nestlé-Purina for many of their wet dog foods. The voluntary recall was made after the company learned that the recalled dog food products do not contain the recommended amount of vitamins and minerals. The recalled products are Beneful Prepared Meals, Beneful Chopped Blends, and Pro Plan Savory Meals (limited to 5 varieties).
The Purina officials have stated that although the recalled products do contain all the vitamins and minerals, it is best that the product is disposed and that a refund will be issued to all recalled product purchased. The recalled product have a ‘best before’ date of between June 2017 to August 2017 and a production code range starting with the first four digits of 5363 to 6054.
