She Saw This Dog’s Eyes Staring Back Over The Bowl. And It Changed Everything.

This world might be full of cruel people, but let’s not forget it’s also world to some heroes, too! Laura is a hero because she’s truly selfless and has a passion for animals. Living in Nashville, Tennessee, Laura came across a story of a small terrier who was hit by a car in Downey, California. Left to die in pain in a gutter, this dog was then picked up by a good samaritan and brought to an animal shelter.


The dog, Sophie, was in terrible condition and because of multiple pelvis fractures, this pup was unable to walk. Laura knew that this pup’s time was limited and that if no one rescued her, she may be euthanized, and this is something Laura wasn’t going to deal with. So she started a mission to save Sophie. Fir days she called different rescue missions to save Sophie, but no one, except the Abandoned Terrier Rescue Association responded.

Yep, Sophie doesn’t only walk, but also runs! And a woman called Janet who rescued Sophie from the shelter, fostered her and ended up adopting her too! Share away, people.

The Sound Of This Baby Rhino Wailing After Its Mother Was Killed By Poachers Will Haunt You

It’s one of the most sorrowful sounds you’ll ever hear, but it’s also a sad reality check for anyone who thinks protected species are safe from illegal poaching. In a video released this in July, a baby rhino named Davi cries for his mother after she was shot and killed by poachers. Most rhinos spend at least three years with their mothers before weaning,  the Dodo  reports, but Davi’s childhood was cut short at just 8 months old. The baby rhino stood close by his mother’s lifeless body until rescuers arrived. They fitted her with earplugs and a blindfold to calm his anxiety on the way to The Rhino Orphanage in South Africa.
