It’s heartbreaking to hear that people can be so cruel to animals, and it’s a wonder that these people are still allowed to roam free to hurt other animals. Shawna was walking down the street on a snowy day when she saw a box behind a store.

What she heard was the crying of a puppy coming from inside, and she knew she had to come to its rescue. She was a small Yorkshire terrier mix that wasn’t only freeze from the cold weather, but she also had a rubber band around her mouth that stopped her from barking. It had done a lot of damage to her mouth, so much so that she needed special care when it came to being fed.

They ended up naming the puppy Star, and she recovered from her injuries nicely. Star was eventually adopted by Shawna and is now getting the home that she always deserved. Share away, people.
