Wild animals who are born with disabilities rarely ever last very long. But with the efforts of conservation societies, they have the chance of having a real lives, even if they don’t have the freedom of their counterparts. That’s what happened to a 500-pound lion named Bonedigger, but little did he know how awesome his life was going to be with his very own pup at his side.
The large male lion was born with a bone disease that left him partially disabled. Not wanting the large feline to succumb, he was given a best friend to help him through his troubles.

At only four weeks old, he was introduced to Milo when he was still a puppy, and the two have been inseparable ever since.

It’s five years later, and they’re still by each other’s side, helping them through thick and thin. Milo isn’t the only one to provide some sympathy towards the lion’s plight either.
