The city of Ghent in Belgium is home to a massive music festival that brings in live various musical and street performances. The festival is 10 days long and has been going on for over a century! The first time the festival took place was all the way back in 1843.
It started out fairly small, but it has grown to be a massive occasion attended by over 2 million people from all over Europe. The festival has also sorts of silly in-jokes (like calling its last day “The Day of Empty Wallets” since most guests have already spent all their money and it’s time to go home). One of the strangest of this events is the goose parade. That’s right.

A gaggle of 14 geese wander about the city as part of a parade that is enjoyed by children and adults alike. Sign me up! Oh and don’t forget to share away, people!
