This is an amazing and inspiring story. Kenny Bass bravely served our country in Iraq. There he was severely injured by an IED. When he returned home, Kenny was suffering from PTSD, hearing loss, and Behcet’s disease. Kenny tried to manage the conditions on his own, but nothing he did seemed to mitigate their effects.
He eventually was prescribed and managed to raise funds for Atlas, a service dog. Atlas was trained to help deal with PTSD and many other issues, and his effect on Kenny was both immediate and profound. Very soon Kenny began to return to the world around him, and he decided that he wanted to help others who are in situations like his.
