Kimberly Craig, a BC 7 Action News reporter, was riding in her car with a friend when they saw a dog, Bosco, that had collapsed on the side of the road. He was spitting up blood and vomiting while his owner stood there helpless, uncertain of what to do.
Kimberly got out of her car and offered to help. Kimberly poured water over Bosco and had the AC in the car on as she drove to Detroit Dog Rescue. Bosco was suffering from heatstroke. Heatstroke can be the result of being outdoors on a hot day for long periods or being left in a hot car. Symptoms are excessive panting, and they may not be able to stand.

It is recommended that dogs who have been exposed to long periods of heat be taken to the veterinarian ASAP to avoid irreversible organ damage and death. Share away, people.
