Senior Cats Said Goodbye To Their Friends Years Ago. How They Find Comfort Today? Heartwarming.

People who want to adopt a pet, they typically want a puppy or a kitten. Who can resist the tiny little balls of fluff – they are cute and so cuddly! It is important to realize that older cats and dogs need homes too. An older pet can still be cute and cuddly! In Gloucestershire, UK,Complicated Cats Sanctuary is home to Dixie (shown here in black) and Veeb (the ginger fellow).

Veeb is 19-years old and has been at the sanctuary since November 2008. Dixie, 15, has lived there since December 2001. The two of them ‘found’ each other after suffering losses.

Veeb’s mother, Dizzie, passed in 2012 and Dixie’s best friend, Percy, died in 2010. Veeb and Dixie found comfort in each other’s presence and have been snuggle buddies ever since!

They groom each other and give head bunts (or head butts, which is a way of bonding or to show comfort).

Here is a nice close-up of Veeb, who doesn’t appear to miss many meals! The rescue says Veeb purrs constantly, and Dixie is shy – but very loving if you happen to sit down and let him come to you.

Sue of Complicated Cats Sanctuary has about 30 cats at the sanctuary. Some have special needs or disabilities.

Sue says Veeb and Dixie are rarely apart. The video is a glimpse into the special bond these two cats have as they exchange head butts and gently licks (over and over). Just when Dixie thinks he is done – oh, no, Veeb wants more love!

“I’m Not Leaving You, Mama!” This is What Love Looks Like.

UPDATE: Lizzie and Phantom are currently recovering in an outdoor koala ward within the  Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital . They’re doing swimmingly; Phantom is both gaining weight and exploring his temporary habitat. And of course, mama and baby are sharing more adorable cuddles! For most species in the animal kingdom, the bond between mother and baby is incredibly strong. That's pretty much inarguable. But last week, two koalas in Australia further proved it. After they were hit by a car, Lizzie and her joey, Phantom were welcomed into the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. Six-month-old Phantom had escaped the accident unscathed. Lizzie, however, wasn’t looking so good, what with facial trauma and a collapsed lung. In order to survive, she needed to go under the surgeon’s knife. But this marsupial mama wasn’t alone during the life-saving procedure. Phantom accompanied her and clung to her as she received treatment. The vets let them be; Phantom was too y...

Tesco: Ditch palm oil in your own-brand products!

>>>SIGN PETITION HERE<<< My name is Oscar, I’m 15 and I want to do everything I can to protect our environment .  I was really upset and angry when I found out about the huge deforestation that is involved in the palm oil industry,  and that’s why I’m calling on Tesco to ditch palm oil from their own-brand products. Iceland has already banned palm oil from their own brand products, so we know that this is possible for Tesco too. As the largest supermarket in the UK (and using over 40,000 tonnes of palm oil every year!), Tesco has an opportunity to set an example to other supermarkets and food producers that  destroying swathes of forests for palm oil is not acceptable. I run a online cause called ‘Justice4Earth’ ( @justice4earth  on Instagram and  @justice4earth  on Twitter) where I raise awareness about environmental issues. I found out that palm oil is literally everywhere: from shampoos, toothpastes and detergen...

SIGN NOW! BAN THE SALE OF CRUEL ‘LIVE ANIMAL’ KEYCHAINS

>>> Sign the petition now to tell China to ban live animal keychains! <<< Turtles, fish and lizards are being stuffed and sealed into plastic bags and sold on the streets as keychains in China. The cost of these animals lives? About $1.50. Swimming in a small pool of colored water, the animals only last until the oxygen is used up. Then, they can theoretically be released and kept as pets – although it’s doubtful that the same people who think an animal makes a nifty trinket have the slightest clue about how to properly care for them. In an interview with CNN, David Neale, animal welfare director of Animals Asia said, “Lack of food and diminishing oxygen concentrations within both the water and the small amount of air in these plastic pouches will cause the animals to die in a relatively short period of time after the pouches are sealed.” 😠So Cruel😠 ACTUAL REAL LIVE ANIMALS are being sealed into tiny plastic pouches and sold as f**king ke...
