She Lies Down For A Massage And Closes Her Eyes. Who Comes To Give Her A Massage? OMG.

Some of us call it ‘making biscuits.’ It is when cats appear to knead a pillow, each other, or their humans. But why do cats do this? According to animalplanet.com, like kittens, they had to knead the area around their mother’s nipples to stimulate milk flow.

Basically, they then were rewarded for the behavior, and they continue this practice in the hopes of getting a treat! Some believe that kneading is instinct, ancestors to modern cats would trample grass to make a bed, and modern cats may replicate this behavior to claim an area as their own. One cat actually makes a living from providing kneading to customers!

They work on a client at the same time, Niya hops on their backs, and her human handles the calve massage.

Niya has a lot of love to give, and she willingly provides massages to her customers! Niya continues to massage each person until she has determined that they are fully relaxed.

Here we see her waiting patiently for her turn! When a new customer arrives, they get escorted to the back by Niya.

The only signal Niya needs to begin her treatments is a soft blanket, once the blanket is placed on the customer, Niya jumps on and begins her ‘work.’

During her breaks, she will sit next to customers and catch a nap in their laps!

Such an adorable cat and she offers a valuable service!

Wonder if my cat can get some pointers from Niya and provide massages too. Share away, people!

“I’m Not Leaving You, Mama!” This is What Love Looks Like.

UPDATE: Lizzie and Phantom are currently recovering in an outdoor koala ward within the  Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital . They’re doing swimmingly; Phantom is both gaining weight and exploring his temporary habitat. And of course, mama and baby are sharing more adorable cuddles! For most species in the animal kingdom, the bond between mother and baby is incredibly strong. That's pretty much inarguable. But last week, two koalas in Australia further proved it. After they were hit by a car, Lizzie and her joey, Phantom were welcomed into the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital. Six-month-old Phantom had escaped the accident unscathed. Lizzie, however, wasn’t looking so good, what with facial trauma and a collapsed lung. In order to survive, she needed to go under the surgeon’s knife. But this marsupial mama wasn’t alone during the life-saving procedure. Phantom accompanied her and clung to her as she received treatment. The vets let them be; Phantom was too y...

Tesco: Ditch palm oil in your own-brand products!

>>>SIGN PETITION HERE<<< My name is Oscar, I’m 15 and I want to do everything I can to protect our environment .  I was really upset and angry when I found out about the huge deforestation that is involved in the palm oil industry,  and that’s why I’m calling on Tesco to ditch palm oil from their own-brand products. Iceland has already banned palm oil from their own brand products, so we know that this is possible for Tesco too. As the largest supermarket in the UK (and using over 40,000 tonnes of palm oil every year!), Tesco has an opportunity to set an example to other supermarkets and food producers that  destroying swathes of forests for palm oil is not acceptable. I run a online cause called ‘Justice4Earth’ ( @justice4earth  on Instagram and  @justice4earth  on Twitter) where I raise awareness about environmental issues. I found out that palm oil is literally everywhere: from shampoos, toothpastes and detergen...

SIGN NOW! BAN THE SALE OF CRUEL ‘LIVE ANIMAL’ KEYCHAINS

>>> Sign the petition now to tell China to ban live animal keychains! <<< Turtles, fish and lizards are being stuffed and sealed into plastic bags and sold on the streets as keychains in China. The cost of these animals lives? About $1.50. Swimming in a small pool of colored water, the animals only last until the oxygen is used up. Then, they can theoretically be released and kept as pets – although it’s doubtful that the same people who think an animal makes a nifty trinket have the slightest clue about how to properly care for them. In an interview with CNN, David Neale, animal welfare director of Animals Asia said, “Lack of food and diminishing oxygen concentrations within both the water and the small amount of air in these plastic pouches will cause the animals to die in a relatively short period of time after the pouches are sealed.” 😠So Cruel😠 ACTUAL REAL LIVE ANIMALS are being sealed into tiny plastic pouches and sold as f**king ke...
