A stray dog was found on Newport Beach, California with a 46-pound tumor! It is not known how Henry, a golden retriever, ended up on the beach. After being called, the Newport Beach Animal Control came out and picked him up. Henry wasn’t able to lift his leg to relieve himself with the massive tumor on his body.
An investigation is underway to determine if this was cruelty or neglect. The tumor will be tested to see if it is cancerous. Until then, Henry is safe and sound, and tumor free! Share away, people.
It wasn’t easy to find a doctor willing to help Henry, but Dr. Karla Nichols of Mariner’s Mile Pet Clinic performed the surgery. The cost of the surgery (thousands of dollars) to remove the mass was all covered by donations!
