A man claims to have found this duckling wandering about all alone outside his house and that’s when he decided to rescue it. The duckling was so tiny the man knew it would be very difficult for it to fend for itself. Now the duckling thinks that the man is his daddy so wherever the man goes, the duckling follows! The only thing the duckling wants is to be with his daddy! But the best part is when the little duckling was sitting on his daddy’s lap… it fell asleep! The entire world knows now just how much this duckling loves his daddy and just how much he wants to be with him all the time! Finding out that a dog is missing can be one of the most devastating moments in a family’s life. You never know if you’re going to get them back, or if they’re even alive. But even with the news of a dog being found, a dog may still be unwanted. That’s what happened to this poor pooch who is fifteen years old. A woman turned up claiming that it was her brother’s dog who had gone missing. She stayed with him for a while and petted his head, promising that she would come back to get him… but she never did. Now the dog, Maurice, is without the familiarities of home and someone to love him. Getting to encounter wildlife can be a once in a lifetime experience, but getting to see the same ones every day is more than anyone could bargain for. To one family, it seems a mundane experience, but for the rest of the world, we may feel a little jealous. Every day between the hours of three and five, this family gets treated with a special visit from the lovely doe and her babies. She’s known them a while now, as it’s obvious how unafraid she is of them. She hops over the fence right into their yard, and starts munching on apples right out of their hands. Photos and videos of families getting along can warm our hearts. There’s nothing like the bond between parents and their children to make us understand that these can never be broken. The same can be said for this feline family, as this mother talks to her kittens. She fills the room with purrs and chirps that only she and her babies can understand. And though they can’t talk back, there’s some amount of understanding between them that lets the kittens know that they’re okay. They continue to squeal back as they stumble around with their new legs and eyes, but they don’t venture very far from their mothers, and prefer snuggling up and nursing for warmth and a good meal. A young man found a calico kitten on the side of the road, in an area that was surrounded by woods. He figured that someone had either dumped the kitten there or the mother had left it behind. Either way, he decided to rescue the kitten on his own and get it the proper treatment that it needed. He managed to get the kitten into his truck, and it even climbed up on his shoulder as he drove. Once he got it home, it was all settled in. Next day was the big day at the vet’s to get her flea problem treated. Everything must have been stressful for the poor kitten because as soon as they got back home, the kitten fell asleep. Take a look at these images! People who go to prison can end up leading very difficult lives. With no one to care about their concerns, they’re often left to stew in their anger and never fully recover from the experience. But Pen Pals is starting to change the lives of many prisoners by giving them someone else to care about and have responsibility for. Many of the staff at these prisons have watched some of the toughest men start to come out of their shells and have become a little more friendly since they started caring for these animals who have no homes. They help to train them and teach them good manners so that they are more adoptable and can eventually end up in good homes. Take a look at this video! Many of these inmates have said that it no longer feels like a prison, knowing that they’re making a difference in another creature’s life, providing them with food and some quality playtime out in the yard. Dogs are always eager to go outside and be exposed to all the smells and sights that there is to offer. And it can be difficult to get them back inside when their fun is over. But for several dogs, they never get to experience the joy of a warm dry bed and being out of the elements when they get too rough. Lena is one of those dogs who had been chained up outside in horrible living conditions. She was unvaccinated and unspayed, and was suffering from demodectic mange, which is extremely painful. The condition was so bad that she was having problems with her eyes, too. But through the efforts of Dr. Andy Mathis and some patience, Lena’s skin condition finally cleared up after a few months of treatment! Take a look at this video! Even from the most horrific stories, there’s a moment we can all smile. No one expected this to take place when the police were performing a drugs search. They were raiding a home when they were giving instruction to gang members to lie on the ground. This is standard procedure in order to ensure that no one is concealing a weapon on their person. But no one expected that a lone dog would be the one to join them. Photos reveal the dog lying on its back amongst the gang members, as if he’s surrendering too. Police stated that they tried to remove the dog from the premises, but it continued to go back to the same spot and puts its paws up in the air. Take a look at this image! It’s no secret that kids are never really big on vegetables. They try to find some way to hide them so that they don’t have to eat them. That can involve a lot of tricks, including hiding it in their siblings’ plates or dropping it on the floor for the dog to eat. But this pooch is on the other end of the stick. Driving through a national park can be an exhilarating experience, one that will be remembered for the rest of your life. The tall trees, the fresh air, and being closer to nature can give us a sense of peace that we’ve been looking for for some time. But no one ever expects that they’ll get this close to wildlife. In the middle of the road running through the park, onlookers stopped their cars to watch two baby cubs playing together. It looks a little violent at first, but the longer they watched, the more they realized that it was all in fun. They’re learning very vital skills through this play, ones that that’ll carry with them for the rest of their lives! Take a look at this video! Whale sharks are some of the largest marine animals in the world. Despite their size, usually measuring over 40 feet long, however, they’re actually quite gentle and only feed on plankton. So what could one lone man do to save such a large animal’s life? While filming for a series called “Secrets of Shark Island”, they stumbled across a large whale shark that had a fishing line wrapped around it like a noose. Instead of leaving it to its fate, the diver swims right up to the gigantic creature and cuts the fishing line from his body. Even more extraordinary is that the whale shark seems to sense his intentions and sits perfectly still as the man goes to work. Take a look at this video! Cats and dogs have a long reputation of being enemies with each other. No one knows how this started or why, but recent stories have proved these animosities to be untrue. This cocker spaniel puppy and kitten couldn’t be better friends, as the video reveals them playing together. Beaux and Barney respectively paw and playfully gnaw at each other, just to get on each other’s nerves. Living on a farm is hard work, but the exposure to all the different animals can teach a child a lot of responsibility. There’s animals to be fed, groomed and walked so that they can stay happy and healthy. And Lilly is certainly living up to her responsibilities. When one of the resident sheep of the farm was ready to give birth, Lilly stepped right in to lend a hand. Literally. This isn’t the first lamb she’s helped to give birth to either, and the mama sheep sits calmly by while Lilly helps to get her baby out. She seems to have a little difficulty, given how slippery the lamb must feel, but she manages to pull through on her own. Take a look at this video! Dogs can have some strange routines that we don’t understand, but if it what makes them feel safe, then who are we to stop them? But when one man told his friends about his dog’s nightly routine, they didn’t believe them. So he had to document it for himself. As we can see here, the dog walks up to the bedpost of his bed and says a quick prayer so that he won’t have any nightmares tonight. Then he crawls into his bed where it’s nice and comfortable. But it seems he’s forgotten something. Why is he so cold? Then he remembers his blanket and manages to tuck himself in. He couldn’t look more comfy with just his head peeking out of the blankets. Getting to see an aquatic creature up and close and personal isn’t something anyone would want to pass up. But that’s what aquariums are for. These men decided to take it into their own hands, however, in getting photos of a baby shark. Florida news anchor Ashleigh Walters managed to capture footage of the two men dragging the shark from the waters towards the shore. It’s obvious that the animal is in distress, as it thrashes about, trying to get free. Sharks were not meant to breathe air either, so it’s slowly drowning to death as these men take it upon themselves to get a few photos. It’s a perfect example of the human ego manipulating nature for their own gain, allowing the animal to suffer just because they could. Even with the photo opportunities over, they do very little to help the shark try and get back into the waters. Elephants understand the importance of building bonds with their kind. They provide them with the emotional support that they need in order to thrive. But with poaching, there are many elephants who end up being raised without their mothers. Not having this bond can leave them with holes in their hearts that cannot be easily repaired. But thankfully, there are other animals who are willing to take their place. This baby elephant was abandoned by its herd and was taken in by rescuers in order to give him a second chance at life. But even with people to care for him, he still wasn’t eating. That’s when he met and became friends with Albert the sheep, and they have been together ever since. Flying drones have slowly worked its way into the consumer market, where people can buy small remote control flying vehicles that they can attach professional cameras to. Along with some soothing music, we see herds and herds of sheep grazing in the countryside. No one believed that such a sight would bring us so much peace, to see these animals doing what they do every day. Oh this is the most adorable video I’ve watched today! The whole world meet Buddy, a rescued Staffordshire bull terrier who knows exactly what he wants in life – belly rubs, lots and lots of belly rubs! So every time he sits by his daddy, he grabs his daddy’s hand and demands belly rubs because after all, he is free! It’s true that dogs like belly rubs, especially rescue dogs, and you probably know why. Rescue dogs, they’ve missed out on all the love, care, cuddles and belly rub so it’s only fair that they get their fair share of cuddles and belly rubs! A baby moose got stranded on the highway and didn’t know where to go or how to start, plus he was thirsty, but he didn’t know that he was about to make some unlikely friends. The baby moose’s mother was nowhere in sight, but when he looked harder, he saw a group of tough bikers coming towards him. The group of bikers stopped and did the most incredible thing! One of the bikers, who had a bottle of Gatorade in his hand, walked to the baby moose because he knew that he’d be thirsty and he let the baby drink it. At first the baby moose was hesitant because he didn’t know what to expect, but he couldn’t resist! Gatorade is safe for animals to drink and that’s not the best part – it quenched his thirst! Fish are some of the most peaceful pets you can have. They have very low maintenance, don’t eat a lot, and you don’t have to take them for a walk. Having fish outside in their own pond can even increase the value of your home. But one homeowner decided to put his skills to good use and present his fish with a wonderful surprise. He built a glass vertical aquarium by hand, filled it with water, and placed it in their pond. The result is a wonderful tower that the fish can swim into and scope out the world around them. He’s stated that in the daytime, there are at least 20 fish who are in the tower, and then swim down into their pond when it gets darker. Take a look at this video! So this dog had no idea that cats may be small but they’re a powerhouse! No this dog didn’t know that so he started his day like any other way. This is the story of a woman called Sheila Lawrence, who her husband nicknamed “feeder” because of her love to feed all kinds of birds. But Sheila also had another nickname – the “Swan Lady” as she used to feed hundreds of swans on the Mississippi for 25 long years. Sheila would walk all the way to the river banks and feed the swans, but five years ago, something terrible happened. Sheila, who was diagnosed with cancer, passed away, but before she passed away, she made her husband promise that he’d feed the swans for her. Her husband, Jim Lawrence earned the nickname “Swan Lady Man” and he has continued his wife’s legacy. He brings 200 bushels of corn to feed her swans! Now take a look at this beautiful video below. Nik Nak was abandoned at a shelter, simply because he was “too yucky.” The owners even suggested that the dog should be put down and that the world would be a better place without him. What an awful thing to say! Thankfully, this canine is no longer in their care and can get some real love for a change. They gave Nik Nak his very first bath, and treated his skin so that he’d have less scabs on his face. Take a look at this video! Firefighters are brave super heroes who’re hardly given the recognition they deserved for risking their lives to protect others, and in this case, the life of a dog. mid this month, a massive fire broke out in an apartment that destroyed the home and all the belongings of the family. But thankfully for the firefighters and the New York Police Department detectives, Duke, the beagle mix, was rescued along with his family. They took Duke immediately to the BluePearl Veterinary Partners where he’s recovering from smoke damage. Duke is in the ICU where’s he’s receiving oxygen treatment, but he needs your help. The treatment that Duke is receiving is beyond the means of Duke’s family, therefore a fund raiser has been initiated to help them with the costs. When you work in the military, there are plenty of things that can take you by surprise. If you’ve been following your training carefully enough, you’re prepared for any situation at hand. It could mean the difference between life and death, and it’s all up to how well you can perform what you’ve been taught. But nothing could prepare this marine for what he was about to face. When he was raking leaves one day, what he found underneath took him completely by surprise and changed his life forever. It was a litter of baby bunnies. He found their dead mother nearby, and not wanting the babies to suffer, decided to take them in. He gathered them up and made a warm nest for them out of some blankets and sweaters while he looked up how to take care of them. He started off by bottle feeding them ever day until they became used to him. He’d bonded with them so quickly that he even gave them names: Steven, Raymond, Vaughn, and James.
